The Midwest Regional Conference (MWRC) is one of the five annual regional conferences hosted by the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) across the United States. This year, MWRC is proudly hosted by Michigan State University and co-sponsored by University of Michigan, bringing together SASE chapters from across the American Midwest region!
MWRC is an in-person, one-day conference where over 200+ aspiring Asian engineers, students, young professionals, and community members gather to expand their professional, cultural, and networking opportunities. Through workshops, career fairs, and meaningful professional interactions, our goal is to cultivate an inspiring, engaging, and thoughtful space for Asians to share their stories, build connections, and grow together.
“Climbing to New Heights” represents the collective drive to push beyond limitations, embrace growth, and redefine what is possible for ourselves and our communities. This theme reflects the journey of continuous improvement through resilience, ambition, and shared support as we navigate professional challenges.
At MWRC, we invite attendees to rise together by developing new skills, expanding perspectives, and forging meaningful connections. Through hands-on workshops, inspiring speakers, and collaborative spaces, we aim to empower individuals to challenge themselves, uplift one another, and ascend toward their highest potential. Together, we climb not only for personal success, but to elevate our communities and create a future defined by leadership and purpose.
